Puppy Headstart

There is so much to do and so little time!

Let us help fill the gaps and get your puppy off to the best start

Puppies take a ton of time and investment but its all worth it!

Puppies are sponges and setting them up for success pays dividends for life. Daycares are often too busy for young puppies and can’t foster all the basic skills they need to be successful later. Our program prioritizes quality care over quantity and is a nice option for busy puppy parents to support this critical learning period in their puppy’s life.

FAQs

What ages is this appropriate for?

Puppies may attend as soon as they have received their first round of shots but they must provide vaccine updates and remain on a vet recommended schedule for vaccination. This program is geared towards puppies 6mo and younger and those puppies will be prioritized in scheduling; however, alumni will be eligible to attend up to 2x a week from 6mo to 1 year.

Does my puppy have to be crate trained?

Almost every skill is technically optional depending on owner preferences. We find that being comfortable in a crate is a life skill that is valuable for vet visits, boarding and emergency scenarios. If you have a strong objection to any skill, please speak with the trainer and we’ll accommodate your wishes to the best of our ability.

What training methods are used?

As with the rest of our services, we utilize up to date force free strategies for training. This doesn’t mean we will sacrifice the safety of your puppy or others in our care by not stopping dangerous behaviors. It does mean we will not set your puppy up to fail or use corrections to teach them.
